Rob Coates is the President and CEO of RCM Healthcare Communication & Media Systems, a division of RCM Branding Solutions dedicated to structured digital communication, multimedia training infrastructure, and AI-supported workflow modernization for healthcare organizations operating in regulated healthcare environments.

Rob’s professional background spans nearly three decades across clinical care, healthcare technology, executive leadership, and multi-entity healthcare operations.

He began his career in 1995 as a nationally certified psychiatric technician (NCPT) within a behavioral health setting, gaining early exposure to frontline clinical environments and patient-centered care. That foundation provided him with firsthand insight into the realities of regulated healthcare systems and multidisciplinary clinical operations.

He later transitioned into healthcare technology and executive leadership, serving in C-level roles including Chief Technology Officer and Chief Operating Officer within complex healthcare ecosystems.

As Director of Communications and Media within a healthcare network that included medical/surgical services, behavioral health centers, laboratory operations, and administrative service organizations, Rob helped oversee communications and digital infrastructure across an ecosystem that:

• Operated in 16 states

• Included oversight of 19 clinical entities

• Employed approximately 400 staff members

• Included 64 physicians and 135 midlevel providers

• Averaged approximately $200 million in annual billings over an eight-year period

• Generated an average of $140 million in annual gross collected revenue during that same timeframe

He worked directly within organizations including BayCare Behavioral Health Centers and Health Administrative Services, contributing to communications systems, digital modernization initiatives, and executive-level coordination across diverse clinical specialties.

Rob also played a foundational leadership role in building and managing the SyMedica Network of Healthcare Companies, serving in C-level positions overseeing technology systems, operational infrastructure, compliance collaboration, and government relations from the ground up.

Academically, Rob holds a Master of Science in Management & Leadership, equipping him with advanced training in organizational systems, strategic decision-making, and executive governance. He also earned a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in organizational communication, reinforcing his expertise in structured messaging, leadership communication, and cross-functional coordination within complex organizations.

Today, Rob focuses on helping healthcare practices modernize digital communication frameworks, develop multimedia training systems, and implement structured AI-supported workflows. His work bridges disciplined digital systems design with an understanding of healthcare organizational culture, executive governance, and operational complexity.

He does not provide legal or regulatory advisory services but works collaboratively with internal compliance officers and external advisors to ensure digital initiatives align with organizational standards and regulatory expectations.
